Dr Erdei completed her medical degree in 2004 at the University of Szeged. She then began practical training in ophthalmology at the Ophthalmology Clinic of Semmelweis University. She took maternity leave in 2006 and remained at home with her three children until 2015. During her maternity leave, in 2012 she completed a doctorate in traditional Chinese medicine in a joint postgraduate course between the Department of Complementary Medicine of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Pécs and the Yamamoto Institute. In 2018, she successfully completed a specialization in ophthalmology from the Faculty of Medicine at Semmelweis University.
She currently works in the Ophthalmology Department at Szent János Hospital, where in addition to general ophthalmology care, she also carries out various laser procedures (for diabetic retinopathy, cataracts and glaucoma), minor eyelid surgery (chalazion, eyelid defects and tumors) and operations to correct cataracts in adults.
Dr Erdei speaks Hungarian and English.
She enjoys spending her free time with her children and friends. She also likes reading, hiking and playing badminton.
