Dr Papp completed his general medical studies at the University of Debrecen. He completed a specialization in neonatology and pediatrics at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in the United States. He then completed further training in infectious diseases in New York Presbyterian Hospital and Cornell University. Dr Papp begin his working life as a trainee doctor in Miskolc in 1993 and later relocated to the United States. Between 2002 and 2006, he worked as an infant specialist and pediatrician in both Hungarian and international institutions, before working as a pediatrician from 2006 to 2019 for the Pediatric Group of Acadiana and LLC in Lafayette, Lousiana, as well as as a consultant for infections in children at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He has taken part in numerous American conferences and authored and co-authored several publications in both English and Hungarian. His main fields of interest include general pediatric medicine, the diagnosis, treatment and care of infectious diseases through evidence-based medicine and the application of individually tailored treatment.
He speaks fluent Hungarian and English.
In his spare time he enjoys the culinary arts, music, numismatics and history.
