He graduated in 1977 from Semmelweis Medical University, Budapest, with the honor "summa cum laude", and entered a highly competitive residency program in Orthopedics at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery of Semmelweis University. Subsequently, he sub-specialized in pediatric orthopedic surgery, and has held a senior position at the Heim Pál Children's hospital since 1985.
He is formally trained, and has vast experience in hand surgery, internal fixation (so-called AO or ASIF) techniques for the surgical treatment of bone fractures, arthroscopy, sports medicine and rehabilitation, and surgical corrective techniques for length discrepancy of the extremities in children.
He serves in community hospitals as a consultant orthopedic surgeon in multiple small towns around Hungary. Dr. Dreissiger's international experience includes training courses in Pediatric Orthopedics in Toronto, Canada, and Munich, Germany.
He has been the leading sport doctor of MTK since February of 2015.
He is board certified in Orthopedics, and speaks fluent English and German.
