He was born and raised in Budapest. He graduated from Semmelweis University Medical School and completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology specialty training at MAV Hospital and the National Institute of Oncology. His specialty is Surgical Gynecological Oncology and Laparoscopy. He also was trained in laparoscopic techniques in Halleim, Austria, and enhanced his training in gynecological oncology at several major centers in England and Wales. He is certified and audited for first-trimester chromosomal abnormalities (incl: Down-syndrome) screening by the Fetal Medicine Foundation, London.
He is fluent in English.
Dr. Csermely is a founding member of the Hungarian Laparoscopic Society. He rose to national fame in 1998, when he helped found Hungary's first private hospital, Telki Magánkórház.
He earned his Ph.D. degree in 2015 at University of Pécs, Faculty of Health Sciences. The topic of his research: The effect of the mother’s age and process of labor on the risk of development abnormalities occurring.
In addition to medicine, he has been car racing on and off for about 40 years. He enjoys sports like cycling, skiing, water skiing and sailing, as well as reading and going to the theater.
