Dr Ladányi completed her medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine at Semmelweis University. She then completed a specialization in neonatal and pediatric medicine in 2004 and neonatal and pediatric cardiology in 2007. She began working at the Gottsegen György Hungarian National Institute of Cardiology in 1999 and continues to work there on a part-time basis. She also works at the SOTE 2nd Women's Health Clinic. Dr Ladányi is a member of various scientific associations (MKT – Hungarian Society Of Cardiology, board member; MGYT – Society of Hungarian Pediatricians; Fetal Medicine Workgroup; AEPC – Association for European Paediatric Cardiology; ISUOG – International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology). Dr Ladányi provides comprehensive care for children born with a congenital heart defect (CHD) and also offers preparation for cardiology surgery, post-surgery care and regular outpatient care. Her main field of interest is fetal cardiology ultrasound diagnostics, which involves the early detection of heart defects within the womb, including in the first trimester. She actively takes part in theoretical and practical training held by her obstetrician and sonograph colleagues and has also spoken at numerous conferences and congresses.
She has worked in England, Canada and Germany.
She speaks Hungarian and English. Dr Ladányi spends her free time with her children and enjoys reading, hiking and going to the theatre with them.
