Dr Tölgyesi completed her degree in medical studies from the Semmelweis University in Budapest in 1994. In the same year, she began working in the 2nd Pediatric Clinic of the Semmelweis University and remained there until 2007, completing specializations in pediatrics and neonatology. After finishing these specializations, Dr Tölgyesi began working as an assistant university professor in the clinic’s neonatal intensive care unit, and also worked in the acute care and delivery of newborns as an on-call physician for the Peter Cerny Foundation ambulance service. After transferring from the neonatal intensive care unit, she completed her required practice for her pediatric cardiology specialization at the Pediatric Heart Center of the Gottsegen György Hungarian Institute of Cardiology. She completed a specialization in infant and pediatric cardiology in 2014, and, in addition to neonatal care, began providing pediatric cardiology care in the clinic, an area that then became her main specialty. She works as a pediatric cardiologic consultant in the neonatal intensive care units of the 1st and 2nd Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Semmelweis University.
Dr Tölgyesi has completed language exams in both English and French. She teaches students attending her university medical course in both Hungarian and English, and also works in post-graduate education.
Her favorite pastimes are learning languages and travel. She is the happy mother to two sons.
